Recently, the steel pipe company of Baotou Steel Union Co., Ltd. and Beijing Industrial Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. signed the EPC project contract of "acios online accelerated cooling system for 460 production line". The system will adopt acios technology unique to Liu Yanchun team of Anhui University of technology. After the project is put into operation, the process capacity of 460 production line will be greatly improved.

The on-line accelerated cooling technology can make full use of the residual heat after the final rolling of steel. By means of controllable spray cooling on the steel surface, and making full use of various strengthening mechanisms such as fine grain strengthening and phase transformation strengthening, the comprehensive properties of steel can be improved, which greatly enriches the process technology content and product development space, and has good energy-saving, alloy saving, structure optimization and performance improvement It is beneficial.

It has the characteristics of wide range of on-line cooling, wide range of flow and pressure regulation. In order to obtain uniform and uniform forced cooling effect on the inner and outer surface of steel pipe, the nozzle must have stable flow rate, uniform spray distribution, suitable spray angle, and automatic and accurate control system and servo actuator are required. Therefore, the on-line accelerated cooling technology of hot-rolled seamless steel pipe is a cutting-edge technology in the industry.

After the completion of the project, the technical and economic goals such as saving alloy, improving performance, reducing energy consumption, optimizing structure and enriching process will be achieved. The implementation of the project will drive the process innovation, product innovation and standard innovation of the steel pipe company, and significantly improve the product added value and comprehensive competitiveness of Baotou Steel's 460 production line.

At present, the project is in the stage of detailed design and inspection. The equipment manufacturing is expected to be completed in December 2020 and put into operation in 2021.
